Robyn Rihanna, better popularly known as Rihanna in Barbados is an Barbadian artist and performer who has released hit songs like Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. She is still in her prime. Rihanna has emerged as one of the music's top performers. Barbados born, she first began listening to reggae music as she got older and started singing herself when she was in her teens. The singer was disturbed by the chaos in her family and constant disputes among her parents. Therefore, she decided to immerse herself into music. In high school she was a part of a band group and was invited to perform for Evan Rodgers. The producer was extremely impressed by the ability of this girl. He asked the girl to relocate to New York in order to pursue a full-time career as a performer, something she happily accepted. Rihanna released her debut album and became an overnight sensation. Her uplifting songs became favorites among the young who pushed her into the world of film. She's now a teen fan and model. Rihanna uses her celebrity to good use, and is actively involved with several charity causes.
